Here are photos of the FAD Retrospective 2009 exhibit that is currently on display at ArtzPlace Oklahoma (formerly Studio Mid Del) in Midwest City, OK. It will be on display until March 21.
The FAD Group has 29 pieces hanging on the walls and some work on display in their gift shop. The show looks great in my opinion but of course I'm prejudice since I have 5 pieces on display and all the women involved are my good friends.
We had fun hanging this show with all the curved walls and almost every wall is painted a different color.
This is strictly a fiber art show and contains art quilts, photo transfer on silk, hand made paper collages, embroidery on hand painted fabric, fabric collages, felted wool, wool coat from recycled sweaters, and knotted lapel pins. We have such a variety of fiber work so I hope I didn't leave out anything!
The other artists represented in the exhibit are Shirley Conaway, Jean Ann Fausser, Stephanie Grubbs, Charlotte Hickman, Carla Houston, Marie Miller, Marilu Benton Schwetz & Elia Woods.
